Once upon a time, George Mensink went down south to the beautiful country of Belgium to hook up with some friends in their studio. It became a wild recording session, an experimental shaman experience.
It was a visit full of wild talks, strange noises, trance rythms and tons of erotic. All around the studio were esoteric and sm books and magazins lying around and they became very inspirational. A nightly talk on the phone between George and an American friend lead to the track RedCat. Inspired by a picture of a woman in a red dress and some sexal fantasies.

Poteau Mitan was the name George has given his more ritual and acoustic side of his music in those days. Kristus Kut was too noisy and too experimental for the things he had in mind. The Poteau Mitan is the pole that connects the world of the living with the world of the Gods (above) and the world of the Dead (below). After some gigs he left the path of Poteau Mitan and he went totally acoustic on a more Shaman path under his own name George Mensink. These recordings were almost forgotten on a hidden soundcloud page, but discovered again in februari 2022.

This is the only true Poteau Mitan studio album ever recorded.
